Essay Competition Cum Young Scholar's Seminar 2015 ICPR on "The Idea of India"

ICPR Essay Competition 2015 - In order to encourage Young Scholars of the country based on the philosophical issues, the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR) will conduct Essay competition cum young scholars seminar every year. Based on that the ICPR invites the young Scholars in the age group of 20 - 25 years ( born between 31.7.1990 to 31.7.1995 ) to participate in the essay competition in the year 2015. The theme of the Essay Competition cum Young Scholars Seminar 2015 is declared as "The Idea of India".

The candidates can send their essay in a prescribed format typed in English or Hindi of about three thousand (3000) words regarding the theme mentioned on one side of 21X30 cm. size paper. Essay Competition Cum Young Scholars Seminar 2015 - Essay Evaluation

The essays submitted by the candidates will be evaluated by three independent judges. The criteria based on the evaluation of competition cum young scholars seminar essays were done are as follows,
  • Logical and systematic analysis of the theme given.
  • Relevance of the subject under reference within the context of contemporary thought.
  • Impartial elucidation of issues, briefly and pointedly.
  • Constructive, creative and synthetic approach to issues without prejudice or bias of any kind.

Indian Council of Philosophical Research Essay Competition - Prize details

The candidates will be awarded with the prize money for First, Second, Third based on the performance of the seminar and the content of the essay. On the basis of evaluation, 25 - 35 competitors will be selected and invited to participate in the seminar. The ICPR will make arrangements for boarding and lodging for the Young Scholar's participating in the seminar.   • First prize awarded - Rs. 25,000.
  • Second prize awarded - Rs. 20,000.
  • Third prize awarded - Rs. 15,000.
