- The candidates should have scored minimum of 50% marks in the last examination.
- The candidates must be citizen of India.
- The monthly income of the applicants parents/guardian must be not less than that of Rs. 10,000.

- The applications by the candidates should be made on the prescribed form, which can be obtained on request from the Trust office.
- The application forms for the loan scholarship will not be sent to intending applicants by post, unless the request is accompanied by payment of Rs.50/- either by a Postal Order or by demand draft in favour of R D Sethna Scholarship Fund.
- All the applicants must send a self addressed Rs.10/- stamped envelope of size: 23 cm x 10 cm.
- Applicants taking part in the scholarship process must indicate whether the form is required for studies in India or overseas.
