Eligibility Criteria :
- The candidate should be a single girl child in the family.
- The family which consists of one son and one daughter, then the girl child will not be considered for scholarship.
- The girl admitted in 1st year PG courses in any of the Indian Institutions/universities is only applicable.
- Admission of PG courses in distance education mode is not eligible for availing scholarships.
Age Limit : The girl student with the maximum age of 30 years at the time of admission process is only eligible.

UGC Indira Gandhi Scholarship 2015 required documents and amount awarded
The candidates applying for Indira Gandhi Post Graduate Scholarship 2015 for Single girl child have to submit the following documents through online mode. The girl child without any documents mentioned below will not be considered for the scholarship scheme.
- PG degree course admission proof for 1st year of study.
- An certificate from the college or university where the student have taken admission in the current academic year.
- An affidaviton of Rs.50 Stamp paper from the student/parent duly attested by SDM First Class Magistrate Gazetted Officer copying the prescribed languages.
Scholarship Amount : The selected candidates will be provided the scholarship amount of Rs. 2000 per month for the period of two years (until the completion of PG course).
